Divisions:
A, B, C, D, E (starters), A being the strongest class and E is for beginners who never participated at a tournament. All participants must classify themselves in one of the 5 categories. All couples who wish to register in the main group tournaments in either D, C, B, or A classes, must first take part in a preliminary round of 3 dances from the D/C-Class. These dances will be judged, and the couples will be classified in one of the four classes. There will be no preliminary rounds for those dancers whishing to enter as "starters" in the E-class (starters).
The DanceSport competition will consist of the following dances:
Adult Women Standard & Adult Men Standard (18+)
A- 5 dances: Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep
B- 4 dances: Slow Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep
C- 3 dances: Slow Waltz, Tango, Quickstep
D- 3 dances: Slow Waltz, Tango, Quickstep
E (starters)- 3 dances: Slow Waltz, Tango, Quickstep

In the event of low turnout in the senior men's and women's tournaments, only two (2) starting classes shall compete. This will be either a combined C/B class with 4 dances and an A class with 5 dances, or a C class with 3 dances, and a combined A/B class with 5 dances. All three classes will be judged separately. In the event of low turnout for separate women and men senior tournaments there will be a joint tournament with separate judging. Starters and Senior Pairs will be guarantied two rounds.
Rules and Regulations for the Disco Fox Competition
The Disco Fox competitions will be staged according to the rules and regulations set forth by TAF (The Actiondance Federation – www.taf.info [3]
Women's Disco Fox and Men's Disco Fox
One classification for each, no age limit (18+).
Music
Music must be in 2/4 or 4/4 rhythm.
During preliminaries a quick round (122-132bpm) will be performed.
An additional slow round (104-110bpm) will be performed during the re-dance.
Music must be 1:30 minutes long, except in the comprehensive round in the finals.
Completion of rounds
Preliminary: Approximately half of all couples will qualify for the next round. The remaining couples will dance a re-dance in which approximately one third will qualify for the next round. In following rounds to the final, up to approximately half of all couples will qualify, depending on their marks.
Usually 6 couples qualify for the final. Depending on the distribution of marks, no fewer than 5 couples, and no more than 8 couples may compete in the final rounds. (Exception: When fewer than 5 couples are registered at the start of competition.)
Dance Sequence in the Final Round
If there are more or less than 6 couples competing in the final round, the competition director shall decide how many couples will dance simultaneously.

General Rules
Use of props or accessories is not allowed.
Couples should compete using proper dance position. However, one- and two-hand positions qualify as proper positions.
Lifts (leaving the ground with the assistance of a partner for more than one music beat) are not allowed.
Judging in Preliminary, Re-Dance, Intermediate, and Final Rounds
Preliminary, Re-dance, and Intermediate rounds will be judged and scored with marks. In the final rounds, a final place ranking will be given.
Each dance in the slow and quick rounds will be judged individually.
Final scores and place rankings are calculated according to the skating system.
Judging Criteria
Judges are urged to judge fairly and positively.
Couples will be judged equally in the following three categories:
Individual Line Dance
Standard and Latin show dancing routines may be performed in standard dance styles, Latin dance styles or in a combination of standard and Latin American dance styles with the focus on one style. Props may not be used.
The routines must not exceed 6 minutes including entry and exit.
Only the main part of the routine will be judged, entry and exit do not count.
Adequate arrangements will be made for team rehearsals, an equal amount of time being allocated to each team in the ballroom and with the music.
A chairman must be appointed to secure that the rules are not infringed.
The dance routine and music used at the rehearsal are the only permitted during the competition.
Judging: Musicality, variety of dances and patterns, originality, total performance and individual choreography will be judged along with technique, composition, image, and show value. Same-sex/Equality dancing elements are requested and count not only into “variety”, but also into the technical merit of the performance.
The following criteria should be used in determining the show value of the routine: Entertainment or audience appeal, originality and creativity of the concept, story idea or theme.

From 29 July - 5 August 2010 training possibilities are available. The service charge amounts 5,00 € per day and per couple. The participation is on your own risk.
