Wrestling is perhaps one of the oldest sports in the world: two people on their own and without tools try to gain the upper hand over the other in a sportive way. Wrestling was already a discipline at the ancient Olympics Games. Women and men wrestle on the mat together and against each other in various weight categories, but always separately.
Women and men are divided into three age groups - open, masters and veterans and they are divided into ten weight categories from 48 kg to 130 kg. We are expecting about 150 athletes.
The competitions will be held at the Sporthalle Bergischer Ring in Cologne-Mülheim. It's very close to the central station Wiener Platz.
