Transportation
Take bus line 122 to bus stop "Seeberg" or "Paul-Reifenberg-Strasse" (25 mins. from Neumarkt, then 10 mins. on foot) or use tram 16 or 12 to station "Merkenich" (32 mins. from Neumarkt, then 15 mins. on foot).

a) Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 20 km cycling, 5,5 km run
b) Olympic Distance: 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling, 11 km run
c) Team competition: teams of three (3) compete in Olympic distance, one athlete per discipline only; teams can be made up of all women, all men, or mixed team; teams do not compete in age groups
Participation
Maximum number of participants is 500. Athletes may participate in only one of the individual or team (relay) competition. All races will be completed in one race day. Individual Olympic distance and team Olympic distance will be raced simultaneously.
Rules of Play
The Triathlon will be governed according to the rules of the International Triathlon Union (ITU) www.triathlon.org and Deutsche Triathlon Union (DTU) www.dtu-info.de. Note that according to official rules, no drafting is allowed during cycling.
Equipment
Clothing and any necessary equipment must be brought by each athlete. Recumbent bicycles are not allowed. Aero-bars or tri-bars are allowed. For cycling mountainbikes are allowed to be used too.
Services
Food service and sanitary facilities are available at the finish line area, as well as at the end of each cycling round. Watering points will be available along the running course.
First-Aid
First-aid and water rescue crews will be present at the venue.
Tickets
Entrance to Triathlon events is free for all spectators.
