Tennis is one of the largest sporting events of the Cologne Gay Games, with 1,000 participants.
Two players, two rackets, one ball and one net on a red playing field. The participants will try to imitate what Boris Becker demonstrated at Wimbledon during his glory days. Tennis has its own dynamic of speed and allure, with an athletic competition for singles, and same-sex and mixed doubles. We offer these disciplines in various divisions.
© Ken JensenTennis will be played at four good tennis facilities in Cologne and Leverkusen. They are located in green surroundings and easy to reach by rail and bus. If you would like to play you will need to bring your own tennis racket. The tournament will be held on clay courts, so be sure to bring suitable shoes. If the weather won’t cooperate the event will move to indoor tennis centres. In this case gym shoes with a smooth sole for carpeting will be required.
