1. Competitive Divisions
Classes:
A ( players with regional, national, and/or international competition/ tournament experience)
B ( advanced players with regular competition/tournament experience)
C ( players with some competition/tournament experience)
2. Hobby Divisions
One class for all beginners and recreational players with little to no competition/ tournament experience
3. Master's Division 40+
One class for players who will be 40 years of age or older as of 1 July 2010.
4. Team Division
In the team division competition, all levels play together in one tournament. A team is made up of 4-6 players, with any combination of gender, age, and skill; however, only one player from Division A may play on a team. In team division competition, max. 5 games will be played: 4 singles games, and one doubles. The fifth and sixth players, if registered, who do not play in a singles game, must play in the doubles.
Referees
All rounds shall be individually scored and recorded by the players. Final rounds will be watched and judged by official referees.
In the Preliminary Rounds best of 5 sets per match will be played. The finals consists of matches with the best of 7 sets. Table Tennis event directors reserve the right to change tournament rules depending on the number of participants.
Participation
The tournament is being planned for approximately 200 players. Each player may, if they choose, play once in each category (singles, doubles, mixed doubles, team); however they may play only within their chosen division/class.
Rules
The Table Tennis matches will be played according to the rules of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) www.ittf.com.
Within the competitive divisions, players classify themselves according to ability and strength. Table Tennis event directors reserve the right to reclassify players into new classes/divisions if necessary.
In the case that fewer than 4 players/4 teams register in one class/division, the event directors may move these players into the next higher class/division.

All participants are requested to bring their own indoor sports shoes and their own racket.

All Table tennis materials by Spinfactory can be purchased on-site on Sunday, August 1, 2010 (1st day of tournament). On the remaining days of the tournament, online orders can be made using a computer provided in the hall for delivery within a few hours. The company is based in Cologne, just about 3 kilometres from Sportpark Müngersdorf and offers a wide choice of table tennis materials and accessories. Services
Food service is available at the cafeterias and cafés at Sportpark Muengersdorf.
Table tennis equipment such as shoes, rackets, clothing etc. will be available at a Table Tennis shop at the venue.
First-Aid
First-aid stations and paramedics will be available at the venue.
Tickets
Entrance to tournaments is free for all spectators, subject to space available and security regulations.
