Two Olympic sport shooting disciplines with air rifle and air pistol: competition in preliminary and final rounds. In final rounds, only the best 5 individuals will compete. Team competition will take place with teams consisting of three athletes.
Participation
A maximum of 150 athletes for the sport shooting competitions.
All athletes must be at least 18 years of age or older, and hold valid membership in an officially recognized sport shooting club. Proof of membership must be shown at time of onsite registration.
Rules
Sport Shooting events will be run according to the rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), www.issf-shooting.org , in conjunction with the rules of German Sport Shooting Federation (Deutscher Schuetzenbund).www.schuetzenbund.de
Equipment
Standard compressed air, spring loaded, CO2 rifles and pistols conforming to ISSF regulations, with certificate. Kinetic energy of the diabolos should be under 7.5 Joules.
Air rifle: protective eyewear, shoes, pants, and jacket - all conforming to ISSF regulations
Air pistol: protective eyewear and shoes, conforming to ISSF regulations
All other competition material including diabolos are included in the registration fees.
Visual shooting results will be provided.
4 air rifles and 2 air pistols are available for use at the venue. Due to the small number of weapons available, any requests should be sent per e-mail.
Due to strict regulations, weapon and equipment storage at the venue is not possible.
Services
Sanitary facilities and a cafeteria are located at the sport shooting complex.
First-Aid
First-aid stations and paramedics will be available at the venues.
Tickets
Entrance to the tournament is free for all spectators, subject to space available and security regulations.
