VIII. Gay Games Cologne 2010

In the final of the Softball tournament the women´s teams of Amsterdam and Cologne had to face each other. Soon it became clear that the Amsterdam Angels, who came to Cologne with two participants at the Olympic Games, are a pre-eminent team. Especially challenging for the Germans during the match was the Dutch thrower, who together with one of her team has been taking part at Olympic Games already. Though the Germans had players in their team which already took part in European Cups. Only in the 5th match the Germans could score a point. The 7th match wasn´t even started as the Dutch were in front with 8:1 points, the Germans wouldn´t be able to catch up. After being a bit disappointed at first the girls of Cologne were happy about the successful run of the tournament and winning the silver medal.
