VIII. Gay Games Cologne 2010

Behind the fun, laid-back image of Beach Volleyball lies one of the most exciting, competitive, and sexy sports at the Cologne Gay Games. An estimated 200 athletes are expected to participate in Beach Volleyball.

Teams of two players will face off against each other in the sand and try to get the ball across the net with skillful bumps and sets until the opposing team can’t return it. Both men and women will play in four divisions, with preliminary and final rounds.

One of the Gay Games’ sunniest sports, Beach Volleyball will be played at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne’s Sportpark Muengersdorf, at the ‘Playa in Cologne.’ The competitions are easily reached from Cologne's city centre via the tramway.
