To determine the relay competition divisions, the ages of the swimmers are added together, using the age of each swimmer as of December 31, 2010.
Each relay race will compete in the following categories:
One heat (no trials, no finals), grouping starts, heats by age and reporting time, electronic time clock, single start rule.
All swimmers must provide an entry time in metres. Entries with “No Time” or “NT” will not be accepted. When submitting times, please use the format: MM:SS,00.

Participation
Space for approximately 1.300 swimmers; there will be no age limitations; swimmers may compete in a maximum of five (5) individual and three (3) relay events. All swimmers must hold a valid license from a FINA affiliated national governing body for competitive swimming. No limitations in regards to swimmer's times. When submitting times, please use the format: MM:SS,00.
The competition will be conducted under the rules of the Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) www.fina.org and following the recommendations of International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics (IGLA) www.igla.org and Deutscher Schwimmverband (DSV) www.dsv.de.
All swimmers must be currently registered in accordance with the regulations governing masters swimming in their country. Every competitor has to be at least 18 years old on August 1, 2010.
Time keeping: Automatic Officiating Procedure; one start rule
Entries are limited to 5 individual and 3 relays per swimmer. There will be no finals.
Pursuant to § 156 Competition Regulations (WB), all heats will be seeded within the specified age groups according to the submitted entry times and, where appropriate, grouped with the next lower age bracket.
Each competitor is responsible to report to the clerk of course at least 15 minutes prior to the designated race at the marshaling area (call room) at the pool.
Competitors participating in 400m, 800m and 1500 m races will be published in an entry list; they shall confirm their participation to the Organizing Committee no later than six o’clock p.m. (18.00 hrs) on the day prior to the event.The start lists then will be created for these competitions and be available at the information desk and on the internet. Participants who have not confirmed by 18.00 the day before the event will not be considered in setting the heats and will be treated as withdrawn. In 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle races two competitors may have to swim in one lane.
Clubs participating in Relay Events shall confirm their participation and submit the names of the competitors, dates of birth, License Numbers and the order of swimming no later than six o’clock p.m. (18.00 hrs) on the day prior to the event.
In mixed relays 2 men plus 2 women have to swim.
The awards ceremony is part of the competition. Medals will be presented to the first three places of each age group.
Clothing rules of FINA an IGLA are valid. No swimming or training equipment will be supplied by the organizers.
Starting lists will be published on the homepage www.games-cologne.de and can be looked at the computers provided on the venue, printed copies can be bought at the information desk.
Result lists will be published on the homepage www.games-cologne.de and can be downloaded as pdf-documents.
The organizer reserves the right to change the start times.
Entries may be restricted depending on the numbers of entries.
Equipment
All swimwear and accessories must comply with FINA and IGLA regulations, and be brought with each swimmer. Warm-up pools are available at the venue.
Services
Food service provided by the cafeteria and cafés in Sportpark Muengersdorf.
First-Aid
First-aid stations, paramedics and lifeguards will be present.
Tickets
Pink Flamingo(TM) (Friday afternoon) is a ticketed event. All registered aquatics participants will receive free entry to Pink Flamingo(TM). For the swimming competition all spectators must pay the normal entry fee for the Stadionbad pool. Access to pools is possible only with proper accreditation.
Registration ends on May 31, 2010!
Right now you can register yourself either for your sport or your cultural event of choice. Registration fee will be 150 Euro. An additional fee will be paid, depending on your sport / cultural event (Swimming is charged by 40 Euro). The registration fee covers the confirmation of the participation as well as a ticket for both the opening and the closing ceremony, a public transit pass, a participation medal, and a welcome package.
