Until now, the City of Cologne had imposed a curfew at 10 p.m., but the organization committee of the Cologne Gay Games was able to find an amicable solution between the Village operator Rheingold, the Cologne bar owners and the municipal public affairs office.

“The atmosphere of the Gay Games is so exciting that the whole city of Cologne should come and join our celebration!” said Michael Lohaus, inviting all Cologne citizens to a visit at the Villages in the city centre.

Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 have competitions in 35 different sports and five cultural events scheduled. This offer is completed by the two Villages, as well as various parties and other cultural offers. The Cologne Gay Games will end on Saturday August 7, 2010 with a big final Closing Party at the Tanzbrunnen (starting at 7 p.m.). Tickets from 18 euro.
