450 international participants took part in a sports event organised by “Abseitz Stuttgart e.V.” During the sporting activities and parties, the 2010 Cologne Gay Games were present with a promotion team.
Chocolate marshmallows are not exactly the right diet for sportsmen and women. Sometimes you even have to train to eat them. That’s what some visitors to the Wild Wild South 2009 (WWS 2009) thought at the closing party, held at Laura’s in the capital city of the German state of Baden–Württemberg. The sweets were pushed into mouths whole! The party-goers celebrated wildly while at the same learning more about the Cologne Gay Games.
The Sunday brunch at Stuttgart’s Millennium Hotel brought to a close the weekend's events. Here everyone met again and took stock of their successes. “It doesn’t mean you have to be the one standing on the meal platform” said Katrin from Bochum “Just being there is enough”, and with this she was expressing the motto of the Cologne Gay Games:

Between the 31st July and the 7th August 2010 Gay Games VIII will take place in Cologne. In around 500 days and for an entire week, around 12,000 sports and cultural participants will attend and celebrate. Sports and cultural events will be celebrated in the city of Cologne as a peaceful demonstration for more tolerance towards gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders .
