Dine for a good cause in Cologne
The Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 and the Maritim Hotel at the Heumarkt invite you to a very special Charity Dinner: "!Di*nn*ersity". On Thursday, 1 October 2009, the Maritim kitchen will be serving a fantastic 3-course menu. Guests can also look forward to Charity Bingo.
One of the Bingo-prizes is a registration packet for the Cologne Gay Games, valued at 125 Euro. Another prize features paintings of Cologne by renowned artist Gerda Laufenberg, and a Gay Games satchel with T-Shirt, cup, pin and baseball hat. "We want to get Cologne in the mood for the big event, the Cologne Gay Games, and are very excited about the energetic support from the Maritim", Annette Wachter, CEO of the Cologne Gay Games said. Maritim Marketing-Manager Michael Schüpstuhl adds: "The "!Di*nn*ersity" combines culture and sports in the sense of the Cologne Gay Games: with cultural dining and a game of bingo."
The cost of the "!Di*nn*ersity" is 38 Euro. 5 Euros from each registration as well as the total Bingo proceeds go to benefit the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010.

About the VIII Gay Games Cologne 2010:
The next Gay Games will talke place in Cologne between 31 July and 7 August 2010. Expected are approximately 12,000 participants from over 70 nations, who will celebrate ‚the festival of open games’ under the motto ‚Be part of it!’ – free from any discrimination. The Gay Games support more tolerance towards homosexuals, bisexuals, transgender and transsexuals. Everybody can participate in the Gay Games – independant of sexual orientation, sex, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political creed, athletic and/ or physical abilities, age or state of health. The participants will show how easy it is to work out and to enjoy culture together.
The VIII Gay Games Cologne 2010 will offer 34 different sports and five cultural events. The bandwidth of the competitions ranges from soccer via beach volleyball to pool, chess, figure skating and dance. The cultural events consist of a choir-, band- and cheerleading festival as well as an art exhibition and an ‚International Memorial Rainbow Run’ to commemorate all AIDS patients and victims.
