At a speed too fast for the Autobahn, Phantasialand had a “Party to drive away the snow”.
On the 10th of January, Snow Pride took place at the theme park Phantasialand. It is the only party that one can drive through on a roller-coaster! A promotions team for Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 was there.
There are many examples of how the community in and around Cologne knows how to celebrate a party. Snow Pride is just one of them. On Saturday, January 10 at 10 am, the doors of Phantasialand were opened for the 3rd Snow Pride. Lesbians and gay men made their way inside to storm the attractions at the entertainment park.

On the market square of Wuze Town, located near the information stand for the Cologne Gay Games. Markus Barth along with Ole Lehmann, presented the “incredible Heinz”, Frank Sandmann and Volker Sonderhausen, as well as Kay Ray in a Comedy-Special of an extra class.

As his applause continued, the first beats of “Drive away the snow party” began. That was also the signal to “GO” for the promotion team. Armed with flyers and stickers they moved through the streets of Wuze Town informing visitors about the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010.
Be part of it!
