© Christian HuppertWhen women in 1899 participated for the first time in a gymnastics festival, the press wrote: "It would be wiser, if you would wash floors and stuff stockings." Pierre de Coubertin - "father" of modern Olympic Games - tried to exclude women from participation. Sometimes, even today, women have to fight hard for the recognition of their achievements in sport. In addition to general information, and highlights the history of women's sports you will learn about Leni Riefenstahl and personalities such as the Cologne Tennisass Cilly Aussem, and aviatrix Liesel Bach.
