Description

When women in 1899 participated for the first time in a gymnastics festival, the press wrote: "It would be wiser, if you would wash floors and stuff stockings." Pierre de Coubertin - "father" of modern Olympic Games - tried to exclude women from participation. Sometimes, even today, women have to fight hard for the recognition of their achievements in sport.
