VIII. Gay Games Cologne 2010

Well at the Gay Games it happened in the beach volleyball competition – as simple as that. Even though it was not really beach-like weather, participants from around the world were enthusiastically playing volleyball on the sand field in the middle of the city of Cologne. And this is the greatest thing about Gay Games.
“It´s not about competition. This is about participation, meeting different people and have fun”, - says Michelle from Italy (right on photo). He got in touch with his counterpart, Bert (left on photo) on  qubesport.net and they decided to play together. Michelle plays volleyball in between his frequent business trips across Italy, while Bert is actively involved in indoor volleyball in the Netherlands. Although they lost the 1st round to Spanish “Panteres Grogues”, guys are excited to play further.  ‘We really enjoy the well-equipped venues and are pleased with the fact that food and all necessary facilities are easily accessible in the stadium’, - highlighted Joan from Barcelona team of ‘Yellow Panthers’.
